The .44 pistol in Fallout 4. is a formidable double-action revolver chambered in the .44 Magnum cartridge. It features a blued finish and wooden grips, exuding a classic and rugged appearance. While it doesn’t offer as many customization options as some other pistols, it compensates with considerable ballistic damage, making the .44 Pistol is the best Weapon you can get early in Fallout 4.

How to get the .44 Pistol Location
Where to find the .44 Pistol
You can find a .44 Pistol with various pre-attached weapon mods in several locations in Fallout 4:
- The earliest location to obtain the .44 Pistol early in Fallout 4 is right after leaving Vault 111 at the start of the game. You can find a hidden .44 revolver after crossing the wooden bridge from Sanctuary and turning left, walk along the bank to the east past the wooden docks until you reach a generator. Turn off the generator and then follow the pump hose to the south, up the hill. Soon you will come to a locked yellow storage box where you will find a cap stash and a snub nose .44 pistol.
- Can be looted from dead Triggermen (hired gun) found in Vault 114 and Shroud Manor.
- In Hardware Town, upstairs on a table with a box and a wine bottle, you might find a short-barreled .44 caliber gun.
- Look inside a drawer at the Federal Surveillance Center K-21B, located in the southern part of the area, to possibly find a short-barreled .44 caliber gun.
- A short-barreled .44 caliber gun can spawn in an unlocked safe in the upper floor of the National Guard barracks.
- You could find several short-barreled .44 caliber guns on raiders' bodies at Dunwich Borers.
- During The Battle of Bunker Hill, you have a chance to get this gun and its bullets from defeated Railroad soldiers.
- Near a skeleton and a duffle bag, at the highway's end south of the Lonely Chapel, you might discover one. You can use the elevator south of Sunshine Tidings Co-op for highway access.
- A snubnosed .44 pistol on a roof northwest of Hubris Comics.
- At Bradberton's Office in Nuka-World, one is on a table in the vault area.
- In Nuka-World, some raiders, especially from the Disciples group, have the .44 gun with a unique "bladed bull barrel" modification, resembling a bayonet made from a Disciples cutlass blade.
