Eddie's Peace is a unique snubnosed .44 Pistol in Fallout 4, favored by the crime boss Eddie Winter. Distinguished by its scope and polymer grips, this weapon is named both as a nod to Winter's final peace through death and as a play on mid-20th-century gangster slang for a gun. Its notable Crippling effect inflicts 50% additional damage to limbs, hinting at Winter's possibly gruesome methods of maintaining power, such as kneecapping, and making it a formidable tool for incapacitating enemies by targeting their limbs. This gun not only serves as a lethal weapon in the player's arsenal but also carries historical significance tied to its previous owner's dark legacy.

How to get the Eddie's Peace

To obtain Eddie's Peace you must take down Eddie Winter, a 200 year old crime boss. This can be done during the quest Long Time Coming. You can follow the guide to start the quest below:

You can start the quest Long Time Coming by meeting Nick Valentine at his detective agency in Dimond City, and then gaining his trust. Once he trusts you you will be able to start his companion quest Long Time Coming. Nick will give you the quest when he likes you enough. Nick will tell you Nick hands over one of the ten required holotapes to access Winter's bunker. The player needs to find the remaining nine holotapes scattered across various police stations in Boston. Collecting these holotapes before deepening your relationship with Nick can expedite the process.

Here's where to find the holotapes:

  • Holotape 0: BADTFL Regional Office, basement, atop a filing cabinet.
  • Holotape 1: Provided by Nick Valentine.
  • Holotape 2: Malden Center police department, second floor, corner desk near a terminal.
  • Holotape 3: Quincy Police Station, inside a locker downstairs.
  • Holotape 4: Natick Police Department, first floor locker in a flooded area.
  • Holotape 5: Nahant Sheriff's Department, second floor, atop a filing cabinet.
  • Holotape 6: East Boston Police Station, second floor, southeast desk.
  • Holotape 7: South Boston Police Department, second floor, desk in the corner.
  • Holotape 8: Police Precinct 8, in the far-right cell.
  • Holotape 9: Coast Guard Pier, second floor, atop an Expert locked safe.

After collecting all holotapes, return to Nick and head to Andrew Station, then navigate the subway to reach Winter's bunker. Inside, you can decide to kill Eddie Winter yourself, assist Nick in doing so, or let Nick handle it alone. Once Winter is dealt with, you can loot his unique weapon, Eddie's Peace. Exiting the facility and conversing with Nick concludes the quest.
