How to get the Gen-4 10mm Pistol
The Gen-4 10mm Pistol was originally added by the Creation Club DLC 'Neon Flats', but comes included within the Fallout 4 Next Gen Update.
To obtain the Gen-4 10mm Pistol you must start the quest 'Neon Flats.' You can find a walkthrough for the quest below:
- Investigate the Apartment: Start by exploring the apartment in Goodneighbor, where you'll discover the bodies of a cleaning crew in cleanroom suits. Use the terminal in the lobby to learn about "Project S.N.O.W." and its role in the crew's demise.
- Visit the Third Rail: Inside the Third Rail bar, locate the Architect's note which reveals the mission to stop the rogue A.I., S.N.O.W., designed by the Architect.
- Go to Boston Public Library: At the library, find and read the READ_ME file on the librarian's terminal. This file explains the need to use the DECRYPT command on four terminals in a specific sequence based on prime numbers (2, 3, 5, 7).
- Head to Fallout 4:Gunners Plaza|Gunners Plaza]]: After decrypting the terminals, proceed to Gunners Plaza. You can bypass this with a +6 Intelligence check or having 3 points in the Hacker perk. Near the HQ, your Pip-Boy will pick up a new signal.
- Find the Terminal on GNN Building: Track the signal to a terminal in the generator shed on the roof, which indicates S.N.O.W.'s attempt to upload itself into a synth body.
- Enter the Electrical Hobbyist's Club: Choose one of three entry points (master-locked front door, rear door, or hole in the roof). Navigate through booby-trapped areas to the basement.
- In the basement, find the terminal connected to a synth body and decide whether to cancel S.N.O.W.'s upload or make a copy of the data.
- Reset the System in the Apartment: Return to the apartment in Goodneighbor to reset the system and restore power, enabling you to use the elevator to access Neon Flats apartment and complete the quest.
- The Gen-4 can be found in the hidden room within the Neon Flats Apartment. You can also obtain the Architect's winter jacket and Institute renegade outfit in this location.
