The Anniversary Edition marks ten years of Skyrim. It packages Special Edition together with all three add-ons and 74 Creations, twenty-six of which were new on the day it shipped. For a crafting character it is the single largest addition to the smithing tree the game has had, since most of the Creation armour and weapon sets hang off perks that already exist.
Contents
Special Edition, Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn form the base. On top of that sit the Creations, previously sold individually through the Creation Club. Saints and Seducers, Rare Curios, Fishing, Farming, Survival Mode and the Alternative Armors line are among the better known.
The Creations add whole material families. Amber and Madness gear arrive with Saints and Seducers, Golden and Dark with the Alternative Armors sets, Remnant with Interception, Spell Knight with Crypt of the Heart.
Acquisition
It released on 11 November 2021 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series consoles, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, reached GOG and Nintendo Switch on 28 September 2022, and Switch 2 on 9 December 2025. Owners of Special Edition can buy the Anniversary Upgrade separately rather than the whole game again.
Owners on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 also get a free optimisation update with better graphics and shorter loading times.
