Saints and Seducers is the Creation that brings the Shivering Isles into Skyrim. A manic mage has thinned the barrier between the realms and madness is leaking through, which in practice means Golden Saints and Dark Seducers turning up in the wild alongside two new crafting materials, four craftable sets and a small questline.

The Two Materials

Amber is the light side. Raw amber comes from hollowed stumps in the Root Tunnels under the Solitude Sewers and from Khajiit caravan traders, two pieces smelt into one Amber Ingot, and the resulting armour outperforms Dragonscale. It needs Glass Smithing.

Madness Ore is the heavy side. It cannot be mined at all, only bought from Khajiit traders or found in boss chests, and two ores make one Madness Ingot. Madness armour holds the highest base rating of any cuirass or shield in the game. It needs Ebony Smithing.

Unlocking The Recipes

Both sets are locked behind the same short chain. Read the Note on Amber and Madness Ore, follow the miscellaneous quest it starts, and Evethra's Journal at the end teaches the recipes. The main questline, Balance of Power, begins by speaking to the travelling Khajiit merchant Ri'saad.

Release

It went on sale on 20 November 2019 for 1500 Creation Credits and originally included Rare Curios in the price. Both became free for everyone on 11 November 2021 with the Anniversary Edition.

Two raw pieces per ingot in both cases.
