Auriel's Bow is the best Bow in Skyrim due to its innate effect that deals an addental 20 damage to any target it hits, or triple to undead, this makes it the strongest and fastest firing bows in the game. The bow is also incredibly powerful in the hands of a Vampire.

Weapon Enchantment

Auriel's Bows enchantment does 20 points of innate sun damage to any target it hits, if the target is undead it will deal 60 damage. Note that this effect is also tripled again when stealth attacking with the Deadly Aim perk.

In addition to the enchantment, Auriel's Bow appears to have faster draw speed than a regular bow. Fully nocking an arrow with the Quick Shot perk takes less than a second.

The bows enchantment can be used 26 times before it must be recharged.

How to Get the Auriel's Bow?

Where to find the Auriel's Bow Location?

You can get Auriel's Bow at the end of the Dawnguard Questline. The bow is obtained at the end of the quest "Touching the Sky," after defeating Arch-Curate Vyrthur in the Forgotten Vale.

Gameplay Tips and Tricks

Auriel's Bow has the secound fastest firing speed in the game, after the Zephyr Bow, with the Quick Shot Perk it takes less than a second to nock and fire an arrow.
While Autiels bow may appear to have a low base damage of 13, its innate enchantment allowes it to deal an additional 20 sun damage for a total damage of 33, or 73 damage against undead.
Its possible to deal 9x damage to undead targets with stealth attacks and the Deadly Aim perk in the Sneak Skill Tree.
The weapon damage effect can be increases by 100% with the Overdraw perk in the Archery Skill tree.
Obtaining Auriel's Bow still counts towards the Oblivion Walker achievement, even though it is not a Daedric Artifact.

Auriel's bow can use unique arrows obtained by talking to Serana that have special effects when used with Auriel's Bow:

Sunhallowed Arrows

Firing a Sunhallowed Elven Arrow from Auriel's Bow towards the sun creates a sunburst attack causeing the sun to explode and damage nearby targets (including innocents), similar to the Storm Call shout.
When fired directly into an enemy, from Auriel's Bow, a bright explosion is created on impact dealing 40 sunlight damage in a 15 foot radius, akin to the effect of Vampire's Bane.

Bloodcursed Arrows

Using Auriel's Bow to shoot a Bloodcursed Elven Arrow at the sun creates a sudden darkness, turning the day into a false-night with a black hole-like anomaly eclipsing the sun. This effect lasts for an entire in-game day, allowing vampires to operate without being affected by daylight. This can also lead to vampire attacks occurring within towns during the day.
Note that Bloodcursed elven arrows cannot be obtained if you have convinced Serana to cure herself of vampirism, her mother Valerica will also refuse to make them, explaining that she never wanted any part in the prophecy.
Aiming the bow at the direction of the sun makes the screen briefly turn yellow of red. This helps you aim at the sun, even if it's behind mountains or clouds.

Weapon Levels

Some weapons in Skyrim are Levelled. The power of a levelled weapon is based on your charcters level when you get them. Some get stronger in both physical and magical aspects, while others only improve their enchantments. These items don't get better as your character levels up.

The Auriels Bow is not a leveled weapon.
