Laid flat across a pair of pillars, the Flametal beam carries a floor or a roofline out over ground that would eat any other material. It is the horizontal piece of the Flametal set in Supports: two metres of glowing metal for two bars. It is what turns a row of lava footings into a usable platform.

How to Build It

It costs two Flametal, and you need a Black Forge in range to build it and for every repair afterwards. Flametal ignores the fire and rain that ruin other sets, but as a support it is no stronger than iron reinforced wood. A beam still loses stability the further it runs from the last upright, so add posts often instead of trying to span a long gap on beams alone.
