The Black Forge makes and repairs almost all the gear from the Mistlands and the Ashlands. This long dark bench takes over from the old Forge for the last two tiers of the game. You find it in the Crafting Stations part of the build menu, and once it is up, repairs on it are free.

How to Build It

Building it takes ten Black Marble, ten Yggdrasil Wood and five Black Core, all Mistlands materials, with a Workbench in range. Give it a roof and walls, because it will not work out in the weather, and leave room on both sides for the four upgrade pieces that raise its level. Black Cores are the part to plan around. They only turn up in the Infested Mines, the number varies wildly from mine to mine, and the other Mistlands stations need them too.
