Scenes From a Marriage is a main quest of Hearts of Stone. Olgierd's third wish is for the violet rose he gave his wife Iris the last time he saw her. That was many years ago, and the rose should have crumbled to dust long since. The ghost of Iris haunts the abandoned von Everec manor. Geralt must wake her spirit and step into the painted world of her mind. There he relives her memories of a marriage that slowly fell apart.
Scenes From a Marriage Map Location and Quest Guide
Scenes From a Marriage map location:
- Go to the von Everec manor and talk to the thief at the hole in the wall.
- Search the grounds with Witcher Senses for the thief's partner.
- Open the gate and follow the tracks into the back garden.
- Defeat the Caretaker, stepping away from his area attacks.
- Search the upper floor of the manor for Iris von Everec, and fight the wraith on the way.
- Examine the remains on the bed.
- Bury Iris by the painter's easel in the garden.
- Summon her ghost and follow her into the painted world.
- At the fountain, place the right item in Iris's hand, then defeat the wraiths.
- In the dining room, light the fireplace and the two candlesticks nearest to it, as in the painting.
- In the bedroom, place the bloody towel next to Olgierd.
- In the painting studio, set the grapes on the left, the goblet in the middle and the apples on the right.
- In Olgierd's study, redraw the circle with chalk and set candles around the pentagram.
- Escape the fire through the winter painting and find the cellar doors out of the blizzard.
- In the cellar, put the marriage contract in the hands of Iris's father and the mug with Olgierd.
- At the dining table, put the large bowl by the dog, the small bowl by the cat and the food tray with the Caretaker.
- Go to the parlor and defeat Iris's nightmares.
- Talk to Iris about the violet rose.

Choices
Iris still holds the violet rose in the painted world. Geralt can take it from her. He then brings Olgierd the real rose, but taking it means the final end of Iris.
Geralt can also leave the rose with Iris. She then sleeps on in her painted world. Geralt finds a painting of Iris holding the rose and brings Olgierd that instead.
