Journeyman armorer

Superior Griffin Boots are medium witcher boots from the base game. They are the third tier of the Griffin School boots. They give 61 armor and +8% sign intensity at level 26. Their diagram is north of Giants' Toes in Skellige. They arrive in the mid game.

They give +8% sign intensity, +3% piercing, +3% bludgeoning, +4% slashing and +3% monster resistance. The sign intensity suits a signs build.

Set Bonus

The Griffin set is medium armor with 5 tiers. 3 pieces: after a sign cast in standard mode with stamina, the next sign cast within 3 seconds costs no stamina. 6 pieces: Yrden traps are 40% larger, and inside the trap stamina regeneration rises by 5/s, sign intensity by 100% and damage taken drops by 20%. These bonuses come from Grandmaster pieces worn as a set.

How to Get Superior Griffin Boots

  • Play Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3.
  • Go north of Giants' Toes. The diagram lies there with the armor, gauntlets and trousers diagrams.
  • A journeyman armorer crafts them from Enhanced Griffin Boots.

Superior Griffin Boots Map Location and Quest Guide

The Superior Griffin Boots diagram lies in a chest among the rocks by a pirate camp near Giants' Toes, on the northeastern tip of Ard Skellig. The pin marks the chest, a stop of Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3.

  1. Buy Edwin Greloff's Third Map from the armorer in Hierarch Square. It starts Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3 and marks every diagram spot.
  2. Sail to the northeastern tip of Ard Skellig, near Giants' Toes.
  3. Kill the pirates camped along the coastline.
  4. Find the last campfire and loot the chest among the rocks nearby for the Superior Griffin Boots diagram. The other three armor diagrams of the tier are inside too.
