Journeyman armorer

Superior Legendary Griffin Boots are the NG+ variant of Superior Griffin Boots, medium Griffin School witcher gear. They give 63 armor and +13% sign intensity at level 27. Their diagram is north of Giants' Toes on Ard Skellig. They need level 26 above the NG+ starting level.

They also give +6% piercing, +6% bludgeoning, +7% slashing and +5% monster resistance. Their armor rises by 2 per level. Against the regular Superior boots, they raise sign intensity from 8% to 13%.

Set Bonus

The Griffin set is medium armor. It has five tiers: Basic at level 11, Enhanced at 18, Superior at 26, Mastercrafted at 34 and Grandmaster at 40. The 3-piece and 6-piece bonuses come from Grandmaster pieces worn as a school set. 3 pieces: after a sign cast in standard mode with stamina, the next sign cast within 3 seconds costs no stamina. 6 pieces: Yrden traps are 40% larger, and inside the trap stamina regeneration rises by 5 per second, sign intensity rises by 100% and damage taken drops by 20%.

How to Get Superior Legendary Griffin Boots

  • In NG+, start Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3.
  • Go north of Giants' Toes and open the chest among the rocks by the pirate camp. It holds the boots, armor, gauntlets and trousers diagrams.
  • A journeyman armorer crafts them.

Superior Legendary Griffin Boots Map Location and Quest Guide

The Superior Legendary Griffin Boots diagram lies in a chest among the rocks by a pirate camp near Giants' Toes, on the northeastern tip of Ard Skellig. The pin marks the chest, a stop of Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3. It is the New Game + counterpart of the Superior Griffin Boots diagram and lies at the same spot.

  1. Buy Edwin Greloff's Third Map from the armorer in Hierarch Square. It starts Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3 and marks every diagram spot.
  2. Sail to the northeastern tip of Ard Skellig, near Giants' Toes.
  3. Kill the pirates camped along the coastline.
  4. Find the last campfire and loot the chest among the rocks nearby for the Superior Legendary Griffin Boots diagram. The other three armor diagrams of the tier are inside too.
