Journeyman armorer

Superior Legendary Griffin Gauntlets are the NG+ Legendary variant of the Superior Griffin Gauntlets, medium witcher armor. They give 59 armor at level 27, with +13% sign intensity. Their diagram lies on Ard Skellig, and they need level 26 over the NG+ starting level.

They also give +6% piercing, +7% slashing, +5% monster and +16% elemental resistance. The regular gauntlets give 57 armor and +8% sign intensity. The sign bonus suits a signs build.

Set Bonus

The Griffin set is medium armor with five tiers, Basic to Grandmaster. 3 pieces: after a sign cast with stamina, the next sign within 3 seconds costs no stamina. 6 pieces: Yrden traps are 40% larger, and inside them stamina regen rises by 5/s, sign intensity by 100% and damage taken drops by 20%.

How to Get Superior Legendary Griffin Gauntlets

  • In NG+, follow Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3.
  • Find the diagram north of Giants' Toes, with the other armor diagrams.
  • A journeyman armorer crafts them.

Superior Legendary Griffin Gauntlets Map Location and Quest Guide

The Superior Legendary Griffin Gauntlets diagram lies in a chest among the rocks by a pirate camp near Giants' Toes, on the northeastern tip of Ard Skellig. The pin marks the chest, a stop of Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3. It is the New Game + counterpart of the Superior Griffin Gauntlets diagram and lies at the same spot.

  1. Buy Edwin Greloff's Third Map from the armorer in Hierarch Square. It starts Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3 and marks every diagram spot.
  2. Sail to the northeastern tip of Ard Skellig, near Giants' Toes.
  3. Kill the pirates camped along the coastline.
  4. Find the last campfire and loot the chest among the rocks nearby for the Superior Legendary Griffin Gauntlets diagram. The other three armor diagrams of the tier are inside too.
