Vimme Vivaldi is a dwarven banker who runs the Novigrad branch of the Vivaldi Bank in Hierarch Square. He is also a skilled gwent player.
Lore
Dwarves have been in the banking trade since the legendary King Desmond of Temeria was a little boy. The great dwarven banking families are the Giancardis, the Vivaldis and the Cianfanellis. Over time they have opened branches in all the larger cities of the North.
Vimme carries this old family tradition into modern times. He grew the Novigrad branch of his family's bank until it became the largest in the city. Geralt and Dandelion met him more than a dozen years before the story begins. They have always valued his honesty and his business sense.
Story
Vimme proves his business sense once more during the war. His bank stays profitable even as the persecution of nonhumans grows in Novigrad.
In Gwent: Big City Players, Vimme is one of the four strong gwent players in Novigrad. When Geralt beats him, he hands over his unique Vesemir card and names the next player worth a challenge.
In Open Sesame!, Vimme attends the auction at the Borsodi auction house in Oxenfurt. There he introduces Geralt to some of his business friends. In The Taxman Cometh, a tax collector may hand Geralt a summons. Geralt must then pay his back taxes at the Vivaldi Bank.
