Wolven Armor is the basic tier of the Wolven (Wolf School) chest armor, medium witcher armor from the base game. It gives 105 armor at level 14, with +5% adrenaline gain. Its diagram is in a cave beneath the old signal tower in Kaer Morhen. It is a piece for the early game.

It also gives +5% piercing, +5% bludgeoning, +10% slashing and +12% monster resistance. The adrenaline gain fits a bleeding hybrid build, which the Wolven set bonuses reward. It is the first step of the Wolven upgrade chain, which ends at the Grandmaster tier.

Set Bonus

The Wolven set is medium armor. It has five tiers: Basic at level 14, Enhanced at 21, Superior at 29, Mastercrafted at 34 and Grandmaster at 40. 3 pieces: each bleeding effect on an enemy raises sword damage by 1% per set piece. 6 pieces: each adrenaline point raises how many bleeding effects can stack on one enemy. These bonuses come from Grandmaster pieces worn as a set.

How to Get Wolven Armor

Start Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear in Kaer Morhen.
Use the polished crystal and Aard to open the portal in the old signal tower south of the Kaer Morhen signpost.
Find the diagram on a skeleton in the cave beyond, with the boots, gauntlets and trousers diagrams.
An armorer crafts it.

Wolven Armor Map Location and Quest Guide

The Wolven Armor diagram lies on a skeleton in a cave reached through Hieronymus' portal in the old signal tower, just south of the Kaer Morhen signpost. The pin marks the diagram spot, the armor stop of Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear. The skeleton also carries the boots, gauntlets and trousers diagrams.

Buy the slightly torn notes from the blacksmith in Lindenvale, or Éibhear Hattori's map, to start Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear.
Go to the old signal tower just south of the Kaer Morhen signpost. It sits on a steep cliff, so ride down the valley and back up to reach it.
Climb over the wall inside and up the scaffolding, then loot the chest on the first level for Hieronymus' notes and read them.
Squeeze through the crack in the tower wall and climb the outer scaffolding to take the polished crystal from a ledge.
Mount the crystal in the portal mechanism and charge it with Aard.
Charge the second mechanism on the other side with Aard to stabilize the portal.
Jump through the portal into the cave and kill the wraith near the exit.
Loot the skeleton for the Wolven Armor diagram.
