Wolven Gauntlets are the basic tier of the Wolven (Wolf School) gauntlets, medium witcher armor from the base game. They give 33 armor at level 14, with +5% sign intensity. The diagram is in the cave beneath the old signal tower near Kaer Morhen. They are early-game gauntlets.
They also give +1% piercing, +2% slashing, +2% monster and +5% elemental resistance. They are the first step of the Wolven upgrade chain, which ends at the Grandmaster tier.
Set Bonus
The Wolven set is medium armor. It has five tiers: Basic at level 14, Enhanced at 21, Superior at 29, Mastercrafted at 34 and Grandmaster at 40. The set bonuses come with the Grandmaster tier. 3 pieces: each bleeding effect on an enemy raises sword damage by 1% per set piece. 6 pieces: each adrenaline point raises how many bleeding effects can stack on one enemy.
How to Get Wolven Gauntlets
- Start Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear in Kaer Morhen.
- Go to the old signal tower south of the Kaer Morhen signpost. Use the polished crystal and Aard to open the portal.
- Take the diagram from the skeleton in the cave beyond, with the other armor diagrams.
- A journeyman armorer crafts them.
Wolven Gauntlets Map Location and Quest Guide
The Wolven Gauntlets diagram lies on a skeleton in a cave beneath the old signal tower, a ruin just south of the Kaer Morhen signpost, reached through Hieronymus' portal in the tower. The pin marks the diagram spot, a stop of Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear.
- Start Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear by finding any of its diagrams, or by buying the Slightly Torn Notes by Hieronymus from the blacksmith in Lindenvale.
- Go to the old signal tower just south of the Kaer Morhen signpost. Ride down the valley and back up to reach it, and watch for erynias on the steps.
- Go straight in, climb over the wall and up the scaffolding to the first level. Read Hieronymus' Notes from the chest there.
- Climb through the crack in the wall to the right of the exit. Follow the outer scaffolding and take the Polished Crystal from the ledge above.
- Mount the crystal in the portal mechanism and charge it with Aard. Then hit the opposite mechanism to steady the portal.
- Jump through the portal and kill the wraith near the cave exit.
- Loot the skeleton for the Wolven Gauntlets diagram. The other three armor diagrams of the set are on it too.

- Its level is either 14 or 20.
- In NG+ the diagram makes Legendary Wolven Gauntlets. They need at least level 39 and give 83 armor at that level, with +11% sign intensity.
