Emergency

Emergency vehicles are the cars, trucks and helicopters of law enforcement in Leonida. Police patrol the streets of Vice City and Vice Beach. They follow suspects far out into the swamps of the Grassrivers. The Vice Beach Police is one of the forces on the road.

Bravado builds most of the class. Its Police Cruiser, Buffalo STX Pursuit and Gauntlet Interceptor are the core patrol cars. Brute adds the heavy Police Riot truck.

The Police Cruiser is the sturdy four-door patrol car of the force. The Buffalo STX Pursuit is the pursuit sedan, and it wears the dark livery of the Vice Beach Police. The Gauntlet Interceptor brings muscle car power to a chase. The Police Riot is the armoured truck, and its armour protects the officers inside. Above the streets, the Police Maverick helicopter gives officers a view from above during a chase. The second generation Bison also serves the police, and officers leap out of it with their guns drawn.

Notes

• Police respond only when a crime is witnessed, reported or caught by an alarm.
• The wanted level goes up to six stars.
• The police remember the vehicle a suspect drives.
• A switch to a different vehicle out of police sight lets the new car pass officers unnoticed.
• Red wanted stars mean the police have lost direct contact but still search the area.
• Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos can split up to lower the wanted level.
