Boats are the vehicles of Leonida's water. The state has open sea, shallow bays, canals, rivers and wide swamps. Each stretch of water suits a different boat.

The Leonida Keys are the heart of boating life. This tropical chain of islands sits beside shallow turquoise water. Party boats, fishing boats and jet skis crowd the water around the islands. The Grassrivers belong to the airboats, which skim over swamp water and thick reeds. Quieter craft paddle the canals and coast near Jason Duval's home.

Shitzu, Speedophile, Dinka, Lure Predator, Airgator Airboats and Crest each build boats for their own kind of water.

The Squalo stands out as the big cabin cruiser of the class. It suits fishing trips, cruising along the coast and parties on the water. The Airboat 09 is the natural choice for the Grassrivers, where other boats get stuck. The S23 is an open fishing boat for shallow bays and the calm water of the Keys. The Seashark is the small, nimble jet ski for a fast ride over the waves. The Marquis is a leisure boat with a long history in the series. The Kayak is the quiet option, a sit-on-top boat driven by a single paddle.

The Airgator Airboat 09 is a flat bottomed boat driven by a big rear propeller. It skims over shallow swamp water and thick reeds where other boats get stuck. It is the natural choice for getting around the Grassrivers. A huge propeller in a wire cage pushes the boat from behind. The driver sits on a raised seat in front of the cage. The Airgator name and the Airboat 09 badge are painted on the propeller guard. Hunters gather on an Airboat 09 in the Grassrivers. A dead alligator lies across its deck while the crew hold their rifles. Another airboat speeds through the reeds as police chase it across the wetlands.

The Kayak is a sit-on-top plastic boat made by Crest. It is a quiet way to paddle along the canals and coast near Jason Duval's home. The Kayak is bright orange with a black deck panel and bungee cords on top. The Crest name sits in white on the front of the hull. A single long paddle drives it through the water. An orange Kayak rests on the ground outside Jason Duval's safehouse, a wooden house on stilts by the water. It sits next to his Vapid Ganado and his Dinka Enduro. Jason paddles the Kayak out across calm water at sunset, past old wooden jetties and palm trees.

The Dinka Marquis is a leisure boat for cruising the waters around Leonida. It is built for days out on the sea. The Marquis sailed in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It also appeared in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories and Grand Theft Auto IV. Later it sailed in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.

The S23 is an open fishing boat made by Lure Predator. It suits shallow bays and the calm waters around the Leonida Keys. The S23 has a low open deck with a raised steering console in the middle. A metal frame with a flat roof shades the console. Two large outboard motors hang off the back. One boat wears a yellow and black hull with the S23 name in large gold letters. Two S23 boats sit near each other in the Leonida Keys. One cruises past a party of boats with people dancing on deck, while a powerboat speeds by behind it. Another S23 floats in clear shallow water just off a sandy island shore.

The Speedophile Seashark is a small personal watercraft. It is a small, fast way to ride over the waves. The Seashark appeared in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.

The Seashark is a jet ski made by Speedophile. It is a small, nimble craft for open water. A rider speeds a dark Seashark between moored boats in the Leonida Keys. A plume of spray from a nearby boat drifts over the water behind it. People in swimwear stand on the boats close by.
