Epicenter turns a drop from a height into an attack. A ground slam performed in midair becomes wider and harder the faster and further V has fallen. It is a blunt weapon pick in the Body tree. Rooftops, catwalks and stairwells all become approaches rather than obstacles.
Effect
The slam normally has a fixed reach. With this perk both its area and its damage scale with the fall, so a long drop lands a far bigger hit than a short hop.
That changes how a fight is entered. Instead of walking into a room, a blunt weapon build can arrive from above and open with the heaviest version of its strongest move.
How to Unlock Epicenter
It sits behind the Phenom gate of the Body tree. Quake has to be bought first, because the slam it scales is Quake's.
Perk Tree
Epicenter is bought from Quake in the Body tree.
| Name | Image | Tier | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quake | Phenom (15) | -15% Stamina cost for attacks with Blunt Weapons. |
Character Builds
The build is a blunt weapon Body build that uses the city's architecture, which in Night City means almost every interior. Catwalks, stairwells and rooftops are all approaches once the slam scales with the drop.
Buy it at the Phenom gate after Quake, and pair it with Aftershock and Ripple Effect. A wider slam catches more enemies, and both of those perks pay per enemy hit, so together they turn a drop into a full recovery as well as an attack.
Notes
Aftershock returns stamina for each enemy hit and Ripple Effect returns health, so a wider slam feeds both of them.
Night City is built upwards, and most interiors offer somewhere to drop from.
