Eye In The Sky turns the city's cameras into V's network. Nearby access points and cameras are highlighted automatically, and control, covert and distraction hacks sent through a camera cost less RAM and last half again as long. It is an early pick in the Intelligence tree. It is how a netrunner takes a building apart from outside it.

Effect

The highlighting is a convenience that becomes a plan. Knowing where every camera and access point is before entering means the route can be chosen around them.

The discount and the extra duration are the real effect. A hack fired through a camera is cheaper and lasts longer than the same hack fired directly, which rewards patience and preparation over reaction.

How to Unlock Eye In The Sky

It sits behind the Rookie gate of the Intelligence tree and needs nothing bought ahead of it.

Perk Tree

Buying Eye In The Sky opens the perks below.

Name Image Tier Effect
Forcekill Cypher Forcekill Cypher Rookie (4) Reduces sequence length required to hack Access Points by 1. Total sequence length cannot be reduced below 2 characters.
Warning: Explosion Hazard Warning: Explosion Hazard Rookie (4) +40% explosion damage from hacked devices. +80% additional explosion damage to enemies affected by quickhacks (including Distract Enemies).

Character Builds

The build is a netrunner that works through the network rather than directly, scouting a camp from a camera before entering it.

Buy it at the Rookie gate, where nothing has to be bought ahead of it, then Forcekill Cypher and Warning: Explosion Hazard. A build that takes all three can clear a location through its own hardware, and Flash Sale in the Technical Ability tree supplies the recon grenades that do the same job outdoors.

Notes

Forcekill Cypher makes the access points themselves faster to break into, and Warning: Explosion Hazard turns the devices behind them into weapons.

Subordination doubles a control hack on an unhurt enemy, which stacks with the duration this perk adds.
