Subordination doubles the length of a control quickhack used on an unhurt enemy. Taking over someone who has not been shot yet lasts twice as long as taking over someone who has. It is an early pick in the Intelligence tree. It rewards hacking first and shooting afterwards.
Effect
Control quickhacks are the ones that take an enemy's actions away, and their value is almost entirely in how long they last.
The condition is strict but easy to meet at the start of a fight. Nobody has been hit yet, so the first control hack of an engagement is always the one that gets the bonus, which makes the opening move much stronger than any that follow.
How to Unlock Subordination
It sits behind the Rookie gate of the Intelligence tree and is bought from Optimization.
Perk Tree
Subordination is bought from Optimization in the Intelligence tree.

| Optimization | Rookie (4) | +35% RAM recovery rate. |
Character Builds
It suits a netrunner that opens fights with a control hack rather than a damaging one, which is the patient way to use the tree.
Buy it at the Rookie gate from Optimization. Eye In The Sky adds duration again when the hack goes through a camera, and Embedded Exploit at the Pro gate raises damage against anyone under a control hack, so the opening move sets up everything that follows.
Notes
Eye In The Sky extends control quickhacks again when they are sent through a camera, so the two stack on the same opening move.
Embedded Exploit higher in the tree raises quickhack damage against anyone already under a control hack.
