Rainbow Cadenza

Rainbow Cadenza
Type Bar & club

The Rainbow Cadenza was a small back street bar where new rock bands got their first chance on stage. Samurai played some of its earliest gigs there.

History

During Samurai's third gig at the Cadenza, a small fire broke out, and some of the crowd tried to put it out with beer. That only made it worse. Denny's hair was singed, and she had to wear a wig for a few weeks. Rumour blamed a cigarette thrown by Kerry Eurodyne or Johnny Silverhand, but no one ever found out.

After one show, the head of Universal Records came up to the band. He liked their music and signed them, which set Samurai on the road to fame. The Cadenza was later torn down, and the Cherry Blossom Market now stands on the spot.
