Affiliation Samurai

Kerry Eurodyne is a rockerboy from Night City and, by many accounts, America's god of rock. In the old days he played guitar beside Johnny Silverhand in the band Samurai. When the two drifted apart, he launched a solo career that is still going strong, for all its ups and downs. He is proud of his Filipino roots and very private about his life. His side jobs follow an ageing star through rage, doubt and a last tour with his old band. He is a romance option for a V with a male body.

Biography

Samurai

Kerry founded Samurai with his best friend Johnny Silverhand. Both wanted to change the world through music, but they often fought over how. Kerry tried to leave the band more than once to start a solo career, and each time his tangled friendship with Johnny pulled him back. In the end it was Johnny who left, and the band fell apart. Kerry went back to his roots in the Philippines to recover, then returned to music determined to step out of Johnny's shadow. The two also secretly owned a club in Night City together.

The Solo Star

Kerry married and had two children, but the marriage ended badly, and his former wife took the house, the cars and the children. His attempts to stay close to his son and daughter usually go wrong. By the time of the game, he lives alone in a villa in North Oak, surrounded by gold records and press clippings. His label is waiting for a new album that will not come, and the critics call his work tired. Rumours say a bodyguard once took a gun from him just in time to stop him from ending his life. He still visits a guru in the Philippines every few years to find peace.

Johnny Returns

The news about Kerry draws Johnny's attention. He takes over V's body and breaks into Kerry's villa, playing an old guitar to announce himself. Once Kerry accepts that his friend is back, the two go out together as in the old days, and the night ends in chaos. Through Johnny, Kerry also meets Henry and Denny again, and the reunion of Samurai brings up old wounds and old songs.

Later Kerry learns that a Japanese pop group called Us Cracks is touring with a cover of one of his songs without asking him. Fearing he will fall into someone's shadow again, he hires V for revenge in true Night City style. Over the following jobs, V helps him through his anger and his creative block, and helps him decide what kind of artist he wants to be.

Personality

Kerry is talented, vain and easily wounded. He cares deeply about his public image and reads everything written about him. He swings between bursts of rage and deep despair, and he is lonely despite his fame. Underneath the rockstar act he is generous and sincere, and he wants to be loved for who he is, not for his records.

Relationships

Johnny Silverhand is his best friend and greatest rival. Henry and Denny are his former bandmates in Samurai. Nancy Hartley also played in the band. Us Cracks, the pop group, become his targets and later his partners. His former wife and his children are a painful part of his past.

Romance

Kerry can only be romanced by a V with a male body. The romance starts in Off the Leash, where V should flirt with him on the balcony of his villa. Later Kerry calls V for Boat Drinks, a calm evening on his boat, where the romance can begin. In a romance, Kerry stays in touch with V and sends messages from his tour.

Jobs

Kerry's story begins in Holdin' On, a side job that Johnny starts. It continues with Second Conflict, A Like Supreme, Rebel! Rebel! and I Don't Wanna Hear It, then Off the Leash and Boat Drinks.
