Smart Synergy

Smart Synergy
Class	Intelligence Perk
Attribute	Intelligence
Tier	Legend (20)
Levels	1
Requires	Overclock, Target Lock Transfer
Affects	Only affects Smart Weapons

Smart Synergy joins the two halves of the Intelligence tree together. While Overclock is running, smart weapons lock on instantly, and they hit considerably harder against anyone under a quickhack. It sits at the top of the tree and needs more than one perk bought first. It is the reward for building both sides rather than one.

Effect

---

Instant lock removes the only delay a smart weapon has. There is no acquisition time while the mode is active, so the weapon fires the moment it is pointed.

The damage bonus reads the same condition the netrunning branch creates. An enemy with hacks on them is now a softer target for the gun as well, which means the deck and the rifle are finally working on the same problem.

How to Unlock Smart Synergy

---

It sits behind the Legend gate of the Intelligence tree and is unusual in needing more than one perk ahead of it. Overclock and Target Lock Transfer both come first.

Perk Tree

---

Smart Synergy is bought from Overclock and Target Lock Transfer in the Intelligence tree.

Name	Image	Tier	Effect
Overclock Phenom (15)	+10% RAM recovery rate.
Target Lock Transfer Phenom (15)	+10% larger target reticle for Smart Weapons.

Character Builds

---

The build is the smart weapon netrunner, which carries a cyberdeck and a smart weapon and has spent in both halves of the tree.

Buy it as the Legend gate opens, once Overclock and Target Lock Transfer are both fully bought. Recirculation returns RAM when the gun kills a hacked enemy, so the shooting funds the hacking, and the hacking is what makes the shooting hit harder.

Notes

---

Recirculation returns RAM when a smart weapon kills a hacked enemy, so the kills this perk enables pay for the next hacks.

Smart weapons are what the Intelligence attribute improves, and the cyberdeck is what the hacks come from.
