Spillover makes quickhacks jump to a second enemy while Overclock is running. Each hack has a strong chance of spreading to another target at no extra cost. It sits at the top of the Intelligence tree. It is what turns the mode from single target pressure into crowd control.
Effect
The spread is a chance rather than a certainty, and it applies to quickhacks in general rather than to one category.
What that means in a room is that the RAM spent on one enemy often deals with two. Combined with the mode's willingness to let V hack past an empty bar, a single Overclock window can put effects on an entire squad.
How to Unlock Spillover
It sits behind the Legend gate of the Intelligence tree, so almost every point goes into Intelligence. Overclock must be fully bought first.
Perk Tree
Spillover is bought from Overclock in the Intelligence tree.
| Name | Image | Tier | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Overclock | Phenom (15) | +10% RAM recovery rate. |
Character Builds
The build is an Overclock netrunner facing groups, which is where a single target deck otherwise runs out of RAM.
Buy it as the Legend gate opens, after Overclock is fully in place. Sublimation and Power Surge keep V alive through a full mode window, and Copy-Paste far below spreads a counter hack in the same way, so a build with both rarely hacks a single enemy at all.
Notes
Copy-Paste lower in the tree spreads a counter hack to a netrunner's allies, which is the same idea at a smaller scale.
Sublimation and Power Surge are what keep V alive long enough to use a full Overclock window this way.
