Dread Aspis in Dragon's Dogma 2, is the most powerful shield in the game according to base item stats. It also gives a 10% boost to strength, when wielded at critical health.
A shield fringed with spines, fitted with a jewel akin to an unblinking eye that intimidates those who meet its glare. Grants the wielder great fortitude.

- Merchant: Volcanic Island Armory in Volcanic Island
- Cannot be dropped by Enemies
Smithing Upgrade Guide
Each weapon and armor in Dragon's Dogma 2 can be upgraded 3 times. There are five possible smithing upgrade paths to choose from: Vermundian, Elven, Battahli, Dwarven and Wyrmfire each effecting the weapon or armor's stats differently.
