Miner's Hosen is leg armor in Dragon's Dogma 2. It adds +1% resistance to Ice and Lightning, and +2% to Frostbite. Upgraded through Vermundian and then Wyrmfire smithing, it reaches 46 Defense.
Work boots that have been refashioned from more durable materials for enhanced protection and a better fit.

Miner's Hosen Quest Guide
Oxcart Courier is a time-sensitive side quest given by Donovan in Vernworth. It begins when Donovan stops you at the oxcart station beside the north gate of the city.
- Visit the oxcart station by the north gate in the morning. If Donovan is absent, pass a day and come back the next morning.
- Speak to Donovan. He asks you to ride the oxcart and carry a letter from Lady Margit to Ser Lennart in Melve.
- Pay the 100 G fare and board the oxcart. Choose Doze Off to skip the ride, and stay ready for monsters raiding the cart on the road.
- Find Lennart by the village well in Melve. He stands there in the mornings.
- Speak to Lennart. The first conversation offers the quest Nesting Troubles, so talk to him again to hand over the letter.
- Return to Vernworth and speak to Donovan to complete the quest.

Smithing Upgrade Guide
Every piece of armour can be enhanced three times at an armoury or smithy, each time for gold and the materials listed below, and a fourth time with Wyrmfire. Any armoury or smithy works on weapons and armour alike. Each smith works in one style, and you can mix styles from one level to the next.
- Vermundian raises every attribute moderately. Armouries and smithies in Vermund offer it, such as Roderick's Smithy and Bjorn's Armory in Vernworth.
- Elven raises Magick and Magick Defense greatly, Strength and Defense only a little. Grisha's Armory in Sacred Arbor offers it.
- Battahli raises Strength and Defense greatly, Magick and Magick Defense only a little. Armouries in Battahl offer it, such as Awaran's Arms and Bodas's Armory in Bakbattahl.
- Dwarven raises Knockdown Power and Knockdown Resistance. Sara at Brokkr's Smithy offers it after Steeled Resolve, Blazing Forge, and Gautstafr after Put a Spring in Thy Step.
- Wyrmfire halves the weight and gives a further boost once the first three enhancements are done. The Dragonforged at Bay Wayside Shrine takes payment in Wyrmslife Crystals instead of gold.

Taking Miner's Hosen to level 3 costs 1,028 G in all, whichever style you choose. Wyrmfire then costs 5 Wyrmslife Crystals.
