Nameless Village Lore and History
The village keeps its secrets close. Srail, a traveller met at the edge of the village, warns newcomers to turn back, and the trail of the false Sovran leads here from Vernworth. Above the houses stands the Old Noble Manor, home of Flaude, the Thief maister, who explains that the village is where master thieves are trained.
Nameless Village Quests
The Nameless Village, given by Captain Brant in Vernworth, sends the Arisen east to look into the false Sovran's past. Flaude receives the Arisen at the Old Noble Manor, and a ladder by the manor leads down into the Nameless Village Depths, a trial of tipping platforms and swinging rocks that the Arisen must cross while the pawns wait above. The investigation turns on Darragh, a thief of the village whose home still stands here, and it can end with Darragh's Bill of Arrest, evidence that turns suspicion on the queen regent and the man on the throne.
Wendy, who lives in the village, offers to trade her Howling Blizzard tome for a Fulminous Shield, which helps with both The Sorcerer's Appraisal and Spellbound; a forged Fulminous Shield also works.
Shops and Places in Nameless Village
The Nameless Riftstone stands in the heart of the village beside the Nameless Apothecary, a merchant selling food, arrows, curatives, daggers and other weapons and armour. The Nameless Inn lies next to the riftstone in the middle of the village. Most of the houses are open to explore and hold chests and supplies.
The path through the village climbs to the Old Noble Manor, where Flaude hands over the Legend's Opus, which teaches the Thief skill Blades of the Pyre. The Nameless Village Depths open from a hole in the ground beside the manor.
