The Abandoned Cave is a rot-filled cave in the cliffs of central Caelid. Its entrance faces the canyon east of the Smoldering Wall Site of Grace. A fallen tree root bridges the canyon to reach it. Inside, servants of rot tend their flowers in pools of Scarlet Rot. Two Cleanrot Knights wait in the last chamber.

Lore

The two Cleanrot Knights are left over from Malenia's army. They fought the Redmanes in the battle of Aeonia during the Shattering. Malenia later turned her back on the servants of rot who still worship here.

  1. Rest at the Smoldering Wall Site of Grace on the west side of the canyon.
  2. Cross the canyon on the fallen tree root, keeping to its safe side.
  3. Enter the cave and wade through the rot pools to the boss chamber.
