Aspects of the Crucible: Thorns is the aspect of the Crucible that manifested in the golden hippopotami, a remnant of the age before shadow fell when the Crucible's vitality flourished. It covers the caster's back in thorn-like fur and rolls along the ground to shred everything nearby with piercing damage, and charging adds a second spin with more hits and wider reach. Its damage is spread across many weak hits, so enemy defenses cut it down more than the raw numbers suggest. The Crucible armor sets and the Godfrey Icon boost it, and it cannot be cast on horseback. It suits Crucible-themed faith builds that want a close-range answer to enemies surrounding the caster.
Effect
Covers the caster's back in thorn-like fur and rolls along the ground to shred everything nearby; charging adds rolls and range. Each cast costs 14 FP and 29 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
