The Deeproot Depths are an enormous cavern deep below the Altus Plateau. They lie at the very bottom of the Erdtree's roots. Here the Ainsel and Siofra rivers begin. A nameless Eternal City lies in ruins in the depths. The cavern is reached late in a run, through hidden routes.

Lore
The roots of the Erdtree reach their lowest point here. The network of great roots that spreads across the Lands Between begins in the depths. After Godwyn the Golden was murdered on the Night of Black Knives, his body was buried among these roots. His twisted, dead body lies in the north of the cavern. Fia, the Deathbed Companion, comes here after she leaves the Roundtable Hold.
Geography
One way in is the coffin beyond the Valiant Gargoyles in the Siofra Aqueduct. It arrives near the Great Waterfall Crest Site of Grace. Another is a hidden passage below the Frenzied Flame Proscription, beneath Leyndell. It opens onto the Root-Facing Cliffs.
The Nameless Eternal City sinks into a pale mire below the Prince of Death's Throne. A Wandering Mausoleum walks the north-west, guarded by Mausoleum Knights. Crucible Knight Siluria waits in the far west by a hollow dead oak. A coffin by the water carries travelers to the Ainsel River Main.
Bosses
Lichdragon Fortissax is fought at the Prince of Death's Throne at the end of Fia's quest. Crucible Knight Siluria and an Erdtree Avatar also wait in the cavern.
