Erdtree Avatar is a field boss in Elden Ring.
The Erdtree Avatar is a towering guardian shaped like a hollow tree stump, armed with a great staff. Avatars stand before the Minor Erdtrees of the Weeping Peninsula, Liurnia and the Mountaintops of the Giants. Others wait in Leyndell and the Deeproot Depths. Most of them guard the crystal tears used to mix the Flask of Wondrous Physick.
Lore
The avatar is a huge, headless figure whose body looks like a hollow tree stump. It swings a great staff that depicts the Erdtree and calls on golden incantations.
The avatars emerged after the Shattering of the Elden Ring to protect the Minor Erdtrees. Each one stands watch over its tree.

Attacks
- Staff Swings: slow swings in many directions with poor tracking; roll aside or simply step away.
- Stomp: it raises its right leg and stomps; roll behind it and land hits while it turns.
- Side Sweep: the staff sweeps along its left flank; roll into the sweep.
- Erdtree Slam: it leaps and slams down with its whole body in a burst of holy light; roll toward its back as it falls or jump the shockwave.
- Golden Land: it plants the staff in a golden blast, then orbs of light fly at its target; back off and run in circles until the orbs are spent.
Tactics
- Get behind it whenever possible; it always turns to face its foe before attacking.
- Use fire, which hurts it badly.
- Fight from Torrent, circling clockwise and slashing its back between attacks.
- On foot, stick close and dodge through its slow, readable swings.
- Keep distance only during Golden Land.
- Choose sturdy or nimble Spirit Ashes if summoning, since its blows crush weak spirits.
