The Furious Blade of Ansbach is a Blood incantation in Elden Ring. It is one of the expansion's additions, found in the Land of Shadow.
Furious Blade of Ansbach is the incantation of Ansbach, Pureblood Knight, an aggressive last resort far removed from the finessed swordplay of the dynast that gave rise to his fearsome reputation. It forms a bloodflame blade from the side of the hand and lunges forward, slashing twice before a wave of fire follows the last cut, and charging adds another slash. Every hit deals fire damage and stacks a bloodflame effect that builds heavy blood loss, though that buildup does not scale with Arcane. The charged version's extra slash often fails to connect, and the spell cannot be cast on horseback, while the Godfrey Icon boosts charged casts. It suits blood oath and faith builds that want an aggressive close-range bleed combo.
Effect
Forms a bloodflame blade from the side of the hand and lunges to cleave foes, building up blood loss; charging adds another slash. Each cast costs 18 FP and 21 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
How to Get Furious Blade of Ansbach Guide
Furious Blade of Ansbach lies on Sir Ansbach's body near the entrance of the final boss arena in Enir-Ilim, once his questline is complete and he was sided with against Needle Knight Leda.
- Talk to Sir Ansbach at the Main Gate Cross Site of Grace and exhaust his dialogue.
- Once Miquella's charm is broken, return to Ansbach and exhaust his dialogue again.
- Find him near the Storehouse, First Floor Site of Grace in the Shadow Keep and talk to him.
- Give him the Secret Rite Scroll.
- Continue Needle Knight Leda's questline and side with Ansbach against Leda.
- Defeat Promised Consort Radahn in Enir-Ilim.
- Re-enter the boss arena and loot Ansbach's body near the entrance.
