Sir Ansbach is a character in Elden Ring. It is part of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
Sir Ansbach is an old knight among Miquella's followers who once served Mohg, Lord of Blood. He camps outside Belurat with Moore and studies Miquella's crosses to learn what the Empyrean intends. In the Shadow Keep he uncovers Miquella's plan for Mohg's body. If he survives Leda's hunt, he fights beside the Tarnished to the very end.
Lore
Ansbach is an aged knight in a wise man's mask who fights with a scythe and a longbow.
He was once the feared captain of Mohg's Pureblood Knights. He challenged Miquella to free his lord from the Empyrean's charm and fell under that same charm himself.
Freed when the charm broke, Ansbach searched the Shadow Keep and learned that Miquella meant to use Mohg's body as a vessel for his consort. He bore no grudge for Mohg's death and died at the Gate of Divinity after the final battle.
