Godefroy the Grafted is an evergaol boss in Elden Ring.

Godefroy the Grafted is a grafted lord of the golden lineage sealed inside the Golden Lineage Evergaol on the Altus Plateau. He fights much like his kinsman Godrick, with a great axe, grafted arms and storms of wind. The fight takes place alone inside the sealed evergaol. Defeating him yields the Godfrey Icon.

Lore

Godefroy is a towering, misshapen giant covered in grafted arms and limbs taken from corpses. He swings a huge axe and calls up gales with it.

He is a member of the golden lineage, descended from Godfrey, First Elden Lord, and like Godrick he took to grafting. He raised an army and marched on Leyndell, only to be crushed in the First Defense of Leyndell.

The knight Kristoff captured him, an honor that earned Kristoff the hero's rite of Erdtree Burial. Godefroy was then sealed in the evergaol.

Golden Lineage Evergaol, Altus Plateau, through the tunnel under the main road northeast of the Altus Plateau Site of Grace (a Stonesword Key opens it)

Attacks

Axe Swings: swings in many directions, sometimes after a long delay; roll only as the axe starts to move.
Arm Swing: a sweep with his grafted left arm; roll away or block.
Axe Lunge: he pulls the axe back and drives it far forward into the ground; roll aside as his feet leave the ground.
Dragging Slash: he drags the axe on his right in sparks, then slashes; roll to his left.
Jumping Slam: he grips the axe in both hands and leaps down; move away or roll as he falls.
Lesser Command: he slams the axe head down twice with shockwaves; run away or jump the waves.
Fury Swings: five heavy swings in a set rhythm; back off or dodge each and punish the slow ones.
Stormcaller and Storm Blade: he whirls the axe into a cyclone or tears it from the ground to send curving blasts of wind; back away and move against the curve.

Tactics

Get behind him; his back is open to attack.
Stay at medium range to bait his leaping attacks, then strike during the long recovery.
Back away as soon as his axe lifts for a cyclone, and hold projectiles until it ends.
Count the Fury Swings to know when the slow openings come.
Avoid holy damage, which he resists.

Physical damage hits him harder than elemental damage, and his back stays open.

Bleed builds up well and takes a share of his large health pool.
