The Shatter Earth is a Glintstone sorcery in Elden Ring. It is found in the Academy of Raya Lucaria, around the middle of a run.
Shatter Earth is a Stonedigger sorcery used by the glintstone miners of the crystal tunnel, and at the Academy of Raya Lucaria using it marked a scholar as a failure. It imbues the staff's ferrule with magic and thrusts it into the ground for a shockwave around the caster, with one follow-up strike allowed. The attack has hyper armor, so it is useful for trading hits and tanking through small attacks while striking several nearby enemies at once. Its slow cast and modest damage limit it to niche use, and the Digger's Staff that boosts it is outperformed by most staves at higher levels. It suits sorcerers who get swarmed and want a sturdy close-range answer.
Effect
Imbues the staff's ferrule with magic and drives it into the ground for a shockwave around the caster; one follow-up strike is allowed, and the caster resists staggering during the attack. Each cast costs 10 FP and 22 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
