The Surge, O Flame! is a Fire Monk incantation in Elden Ring. It is found in Liurnia of the Lakes, around the middle of a run.
Surge, O Flame! is a superior incantation of the Fire Monks, appointed after the War against the Giants to guard the Giants' Flame, the flame of ruin capable of burning the Erdtree. It shoots a continuous stream of fire in front of the caster for as long as the cast is held, draining FP, and the caster can walk while channeling. Its damage is very low even with a strong setup, because each weak hit is cut down by enemy defenses. It is, however, an extremely cheap source of fire damage that resets frostbite so it can be applied again, and the Cerulean Hidden Tear lets it run without spending FP. It suits frost-focused builds that want a cheap way to cycle frostbite.
Effect
Shoots a continuous stream of fire in front of the caster for as long as the cast is held, steadily draining FP; it can be cast while moving. Each cast costs 1 FP and 2 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
