The Shroud Flayer is a Fell enemy in Enshrouded, found in the Nomad Highlands. It can be grown in your base if you craft the Shroud Flayer Seedling and plant it in Shroud Infused Farm Soil. A good place to kill many of these quickly is North-West of the Gem Forge North-West of Umber Hollow, in the Shroud underneath the ground. It is weak to fire damage.

Where to Find the Shroud Flayer


It lives in the Nomad Highlands. First found in the Nomad Highlands. Underground in the Shroud northwest of the Gem Forge, northwest of Umber Hollow; a large group lives there. Can be grown at a base from a Shroud Flayer Seedling planted in Shroud Infused Farm Soil.

Tentacle waves Flayers tied to a buried Flayer Heart rise around it and attack in waves, and keep coming back while the heart lives. Find and destroy the glowing blue heart; every Flayer linked to it dies with it.

How to Fight the Shroud Flayer


  1. Where tentacles keep respawning, search for the bright blue heart on the ground and kill it first.
  2. Killing a Flayer linked to a heart makes the heart shriek and flash, which helps locate it.

Like every Fell enemy it takes extra damage from Fire and takes no damage at all from Shroud attacks.
