Skeleton Excavation Camp "Mae" is an abandoned research camp in the Albaneve Summits, built around the skeleton of a giant dragon. The scholar Loraine Crim worked the Summits' dragon bones with her assistant Fran. Comparing her samples, Crim found that the giant bones share the ancestral blood of the Whitewing Vulture, here and in the Kindlewastes. Her conclusion: everything points to dragons. The four great dragon skeletons of the Summits are named Mae, Polaris, Orpheus and Ony. Each one holds a piece of an old treasure map, and together the pieces lead to the Forgotten Temple.

Where to Find Skeleton Excavation Camp "Mae" - Map Location

The camp lies north of the Albaneve Summits Ancient Spire. The Forgotten Temple, where the treasure map leads, is just north. A Flame Shrine stands to the west, and an Ancient Obelisk is to the north. Everfrore Keep lies to the east. Mae's Map Piece sits in a chest behind a ladder on a platform near the north end of the skeleton.

Lore Pages

"I Can't Believe My Eyes" lies on the table straight ahead when entering the larger tent next to the wooden staircase. It is the last page of Dragon Skeletons. The earlier pages tell how a Whitewing Vulture scarred Fran's face in a snowstorm, and how the pair found shelter among giant ribs. Crim admits that the dragon theory distracts her from the obelisks, and hopes the dragons do not get her first.
