Embervale is the area of the world where Enshrouded is based. Embervale is a vast open world full of mutated creatures, mysteries and secrets. Much of the old kingdom now lies under the Shroud, a corrupting fog. Every journey starts in the Cinder Vault, where the Flameborn wake from their Cinder Vessels. The capital of Embervale, Pikemead's Reach, lies in the Revelwood.
Embervale Regions
The map of Embervale is split into several sub regions, each one has a different biome ranging from forest covered grassland, swamps and snow covered mountains to deserts and tropical jungle. You can find a list of each region in Enshrouded and its characteristics below:
- Springlands, tranquil grasslands.
- Low Meadows, grasslands and meadows mostly consumed by the Shroud.
- Revelwood, a mountainous forest covered in extremely tall hardwood trees.
- Blackmire, a murky swamp of tar pits, treetop villages and a drowned Ancient city.
- Nomad Highlands, a dry tundra with large bones protruding from the sand.
- Kindlewastes, a hot desert with abandoned temples.
- Albaneve Summits, frozen peaks, Balefire castles and the highest point in Embervale.
- Veilwater Basin, tropical lakes and jungle under limestone arches.
- Cinder's Cradle, a lava wasteland beneath floating islands raised by the Ancients.
- Shroud, an inhospitable fog of death that slowly consumes Embervale.
