How It Plays
The Arcane Blacksmith's Apron is an enchanted Blacksmith's Apron from the Saints & Seducers Creation. Its enchantment makes weapons and armor improve 20 percent better at a grindstone or workbench. It is worn on the body like any other clothing.
The apron belongs in a smith's wardrobe rather than in a fight. Changing into it before tempering gives better results, and changing back afterwards restores the usual armor. It stacks with other Fortify Smithing gear and with Fortify Smithing potions.
The Silver-Blood Family Ring improves weapons and armor 15 percent better. The apron's 20 percent is the stronger of the two, and the ring and the apron fit different slots, so they work together.
Quest Background
The apron is worn by Evethra, a Dunmer bandit wizard, during the miscellaneous quest Amber and Madness Smithing. A note on Amber and Madness Ore sends the reader to investigate the area north of Mistwatch. Evethra has set up camp at the Nordic ruins there, a place called Mistwatch Folly.
Evethra is hostile and must be killed. She carries Evethra's Journal along with the apron. Reading the journal completes the quest and teaches the crafting of Amber and Madness weapons and armor.
