Use the Ashwood Decorative Floor where the floor itself is meant to be looked at. It covers the same two metre square as the plain deck, but as a thin dressed panel instead of bare boards. One costs four Ashwood from the Flooring menu, and it sits flush with the standard floor, so a hall can run ordinary decking down the aisles and this up the middle.

How to Build It

It costs 4x Ashwood with a Workbench in range. Thin as the panel is, it still needs something underneath, so frame with beams or poles and drop the floor on top. Ashwood takes no rain damage, which makes it safe on an open terrace, but flooring is the Ashwood piece that will catch fire.
