Ashwood is chopped out of the blackened trunks that cover the Ashlands, and it is what the scorched trees leave once the fire has taken everything else. The final tier of building and crafting is cut from it.

How to Get It

Fell scorched trees anywhere in the Ashlands, then cut up the fallen trunk and the stump for the full yield. A Stone Axe is enough to bring one down, so the gate here is the biome rather than the tool. Getting there is the real cost. The Ashlands lie at the southern edge of the world behind a burning sea, Charred Warriors and Morgens hold the beach, and most landings go better if you have already drunk a Fire Resistance Barley Wine.
