The Asksvin Cloak is less armour than sail. You stitch it from Asksvin Hide at the Galdr Table, and it turns a following wind into speed across the Ashlands. It has 1 armour, rising to 4 when fully upgraded.

How to Craft

It is crafted at a level 2 Galdr Table from:

Name Image Biome Crafting Station Spawn ID
Asksvin Hide Asksvin Hide Ashlands - spawn AskHide
Morgen Sinew Morgen Sinew Ashlands - spawn MorgenSinew

When to Use It

This is late game gear. Asksvin Hide and Morgen Sinew drop from Asksvin and Morgens in the Ashlands, the furthest south the map goes.

Upgrades

You can upgrade it 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station built one step higher than the last. All stats quoted elsewhere are for quality 1, so this is the ladder your own copy sits on:

Quality Crafting Station Armor Resources
1 Galdr table (Level 2) 1
2 Galdr table (Level 3) 2
3 Galdr table (Level 4) 3
4 Galdr table (Level 5) 4

Properties

  • Resistant (0.5x) to Frost, plus Wind Run.
  • Dodge stamina use is cut by 15%.

Notes

  • Most capes gain 1 armor per upgrade level, but the Ashen Cape, the Moose Hide Cape and the Cape of the Caller gain 2.
  • A cape's armor counts toward your total armor rating along with your helmet, chest and leg pieces.
  • A cape's frost resistance only stops Freezing while you are dry. Once you are Wet, it no longer protects you.
