Giant Remains are the bones of giants lying across the Mistlands: a rib cage, a skull, or both. You mine them for Black Marble with a Black Metal Pickaxe, and a skull also hides a brain of Soft Tissue.

Where to Find It

They come in two layouts. The full skeleton, with skull and rib cage, has up to 250 in a world and keeps 180 m from other giant bones. The lone rib cage has up to 85, keeps 256 m away and needs ground with at most 4 m of height difference. Both need solid Mistlands ground from 1 m below sea level upwards, and plants grow around them. Until you have spoken to Hugin in the Mistlands, he appears near Giant Remains, which helps you find them in the mist. Dvergr Excavation Sites are built around them too.

What's Inside

A rib cage is made of 132 mining nodes and a skull of 129. Each node has 100 health and tool tier 3, and only takes pickaxe damage. The brain inside the skull has 118 nodes of 5 health each. The full skeleton has five Ticks inside the ribs and a 25% chance of an Ancient Sword sticking out of the stomach.
