Copper Scrap is copper you do not have to mine. It is salvage, knocked out of the lanterns and barrels in the dvergr structures of the Mistlands, and out of the ancient swords and armour rusting in the same ruins.
What It Is For
| Used In | Amount | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Copper | 1 | Smelter |
How to Get It
Break dvergr wall lanterns and dvergr barrels at dwarf structures in the Mistlands, and smash the racks of ancient weapons and armour propped up there. Each one has a chance to drop copper scrap and otherwise gives Scrap Iron. Any weapon or axe will do the breaking, since no pickaxe tier applies. The dvergr who own the place turn hostile the moment you start, so treat every trip as a fight. Scrap smelts into copper just like ore, and like ore it will not go through a wood portal.
Notes
- Like other metals, it cannot be teleported without a Portal Stone.
- Copper Scrap works much like Copper Ore, but you only find it in the Mistlands and not by mining deposits.
- Ancient swords and armor have a 50% chance to drop copper scrap when you mine the node; the other drop is Scrap Iron.
- Smelting it into Copper burns coal. The smelter uses one coal every 15 seconds and takes 30 seconds per bar, so every bar costs two coal. It holds 20 coal and 10 ore at a time, and it stops if the smoke above it has nowhere to go.
