Grausten floor 2x2 is the standard slab of the Flooring section, and most stone floors in the Ashlands end up made of it. Four blocks of Grausten cover a two metre square. Builders lay it for rooms, walkways and terraces that have to stand out in the weather.
How to Build It
Each tile costs four Grausten, with a Stonecutter close enough to reach the work. Rain does not wear stone the way it rots a timber deck, so an open courtyard or unroofed rampart paved with these needs no cover and no patching after a storm. It still needs a footing, though: ground, a stone wall or a pillar below, never a wooden frame.
