Grausten is the porous grey stone the Charred built their fortresses from. You prise it out of the rock formations and broken walls that litter the Ashlands, and the masonry set that comes with it is the last one the game gives you.

How to Get It

Grausten comes from Ashlands rock formations and the ruins standing among them, and only a pickaxe will touch either. The buried foundations under a ruin take pickaxe damage and nothing else, so a hammer or an axe is wasted on them. The trip is harder than the mining, since you reach the Ashlands by sea and Charred warriors hold the landing beaches with lava behind them. Some players chip at the formations standing in shallow water from a boat so they never set foot ashore. Grausten does go through a Portal, so one successful trip can supply a whole build.
