The Grausten medium beam is a full metre cube of horizontal stone from the Supports tab, made from three blocks of Grausten. It carries a floor further than a pillar alone would reach, works as a lintel over a doorway, and gives a roofline the heavy square edge of stone building.
How to Build It
The beam costs 3x Grausten and, like the rest of the set, needs a Stonecutter in range to place and to repair. Land both ends on something that carries stone, such as a pillar, a wall or the ground, before you lay floor on top. Grausten shrugs off rain where timber slowly rots, so you can leave a stone span open to the weather with no roof over it.
