The Grausten small arch is for openings too small to be worth a grand span: two blocks of Grausten curved over a metre of width, filed under Supports. It turns a narrow doorway, a window head or the gap between two closely set pillars into a proper arc, and a row of them makes a low arcade along a passage wall.
How to Build It
It costs two blocks of Grausten, and you place and repair it within reach of a Stonecutter. An arch pushes outward as well as down, so both feet need to land on something that carries stone. Raise the pillars or wall stubs on either side first, then drop the arch in between them. Keep the stonecutter on site, because a cracked arch cannot be mended without one.
