The Grausten small beam is for gaps too short to be worth a proper span. It is half a metre square and a metre long, and costs a single block of Grausten. It closes the last stretch between two pillars, runs a stone string course along a wall face or ties one column to the next. You find it with the rest of the horizontals under Supports.
How to Build It
The whole cost is a single block of Grausten and a Stonecutter nearby. A beam reaches sideways rather than standing, so it draws all its support from whatever it is anchored to and grows weaker the further it gets from that anchor. On a long run, drop in an upright every few pieces instead of trying to span the whole way in beams.
